In a new TEDxBarcelona Salon event, Irene Gómez Varo, researcher at the Research Group on Mobility, Transport and Territory (GEMOTT) of the Department of Geography at the UAB, will deliver a presentation on the importance of city vitality and citizens' mobility.

Jane Jakobs was the first person to define and give recommendations on the term urban vitality, but since then many changes have been made. Irene Gómez Varo applied this concept to the needs of Barcelona and will discuss her findings and recommendations.
