This processing is based on legitimate interest, as it’s necessary to respond to your request to organise a vehicle test drive.

 

Additionally, CASA SEAT may use your data to manage any fines resulting from the use of the vehicle, as well as its insurance coverage.

Advertising and commercial outreach

CASA SEAT will process your personal contact details to send you commercial communications about products and services, future event scheduling and CASA SEAT-related content, provided you’ve agreed to receive them via the “Don’t miss our news!” or “Sign up for our Newsletter” form on the CASA SEAT website.

CASA SEAT will process your data to handle and respond to specific enquiries received through the “Do you have any questions?” contact form in the “CONTACT” section.

Satisfaction surveys

Consent

CASA SEAT conducts various satisfaction surveys to understand its customers’ opinions. For this purpose, we may contact you through various means, such as email, post or telephone. Participating and responding to these surveys is always voluntary.

 

For surveys regarding restaurant experience and event participation, CASA SEAT will conduct surveys using your identifying contact details (such as name, email) in a non-anonymous manner, based on the consent you have previously provided, in order to provide quality service to our customers.

Additionally, please note that we will not make automated decisions without human intervention. 

What data do we process?

For these purposes, we require the following information:

-       Your identifying details: Name and surname, ID card number, date of birth.

-       Your contact details: Phone number, email address, postal address.

-       Your web browsing data.

-       Data derived from commercial information: Information that you provide us regarding your preferences (for example, your interests, car model preferences, etc.).

Who will personal data be shared with?

CASA SEAT may share your personal data with entities to which it is legally or contractually obligated to disclose them.

Additionally, only those third parties to whom CASA SEAT has delegated service provision and with whom it has signed a data processing agreement according to Article 28 of the GDPR will have access to your personal data. These third parties may access the personal data and will act on behalf of and for the account of CASA SEAT, following our instructions, and under no circumstances will they access the data for their own purposes.

We also want to inform you that CASA SEAT contracts its virtual infrastructure according to a “cloud computing” model through an entity domiciled in the United States of America; therefore, your data may be transferred internationally. As a result, all risk mitigation measures have been taken to ensure the protection of your personal data.

6.     How long do we retain your data?

We will retain your data for as long as necessary to process your request or until you withdraw your consent. Subsequently, they will be held in a blocked state for the duration required to fulfil legal obligations.

What rights do you have as a data subject?As the data subject, you can exercise the following data protection rights with us:

-          Access: You may obtain confirmation as to whether or not we are processing your personal data and review your personal data contained in our entity’s records.

-          Rectification: You may modify your personal data when they are inaccurate and complete data that are incomplete.

-          Erasure: You may request the erasure of your data when, among other reasons, they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.

-          Objection: You can request that we refrain from processing your personal data. In such instances, we will cease processing the data, unless there are legitimate overriding reasons or the need to exercise or defend against potential claims.

-          Restriction of processing: You can request restrictions on the processing of your data in the following circumstances:

·         While verifying a challenge to the accuracy of your data.

·         When the processing is unlawful, and you oppose the erasure of your data, requesting instead a limitation on their use.

·         When we no longer need to process your data, but you require them for the exercise or defence against any claims.

·         When you have opposed to the processing of your data in the name of public interest or legitimate interest, while verifying whether the legitimate motives for processing prevail over yours.

-          Portability: You may receive, in electronic format, the personal data you provided to us, and the data obtained through your contractual relationship with SEAT, and have them transferred to another organisation.

-          If you have provided consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to withdrawal.

 

You can exercise these rights by submitting a written request to the data controller’s address or by emailing privacidad@seat.es, specifying the right you wish to exercise. There is no cost for exercising these rights.

If you believe we have not processed your personal data in line with applicable law, you may lodge a claim with the competent supervisory authority on the website www.aepd.es.
