Ciutat Flamenco: IV International Flamencology Congress (Friday)

CASA SEAT is hosting the fourth edition of the International Congress on Flamencology and Flamenco Pedagogy, organised by the Ciutat Flamenco festival in collaboration with the Complutense University of Madrid and the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). On the first day of conferences, the event will feature the following panel discussions:
10:00 am - Panel 1 - The 1922 Granada Cante Jondo contest / Flamenco Research I. Featuring Pedro Pedrosa (musicologist), Marina Bautista (flamenco dancer), Paulina Bojarska (PhD in Humanities from the University of Warsaw), Irene Valle de Lope (musicologist) and Daniel Gómez Sánchez (compositor).
12:00 pm - Panel 2 - Pedagogy and musical transcription on flamenco I. Featuring talks by Guillermo Salinas (PhD in Flamenco from the University of Seville), Omar Castillo (professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico), José Antonio Rico (composer and professor of flamenco guitar at the Conservatory of Córdoba and the ESMUC), Anne Portuondo (professor of Musical Training at the Théâtre du Grand Chalon) and Sergio Ramos Cebrián (PhD in Cultural Studies from the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia).
