CASA SEAT is hosting the fourth edition of the International Congress on Flamencology and Flamenco Pedagogy, organised by the Ciutat Flamenco festival in collaboration with the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). On the second day of conferences, the meeting will offer the following round tables:

10:00 am - Round Table 3: Flamenco Research II. Francisco Bethencourt (musicologist and lecturer at the UCM), Ángel Antonio Chirinos (PhD in Musicology from the UCM), Gabriela Vargas (PhD in Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University), Francisco Javier Escobar (researcher and lecturer at the University of Seville), Sara Delgado (graduate in Fine Arts and Master in Flamenco Research and Analysis at the University of Cadiz), Inés Hellín (dancer and PhD in Performing Arts) and Tiziana Palandrani (ethnomusicologist).

12:00 pm - Round Table 4: Pedagogy and musical transcription on flamenco II. Speakers will include Trinidad Jiménez Piqueras (PhD in Musicology and Advanced Flamenco Studies), Lola Fernández Marín (tenured professor at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid), Carles Expósito (physiotherapist specialising in the performing arts), Natalia Palomo (singer and therapist) and David Martínez (flautist and teacher).

1:30 pm - Presentation of the Master in Flamenco at the Complutense University of Madrid by Elena Torres (UCM), and presentation of the Master in Flamenco Performance and the Master in Flamencology at ESMUC, by Joan Asensio (ESMUC).

2:00 pm - Closing: musical performance by the group Oleándole, which fuses jazz and flamenco.
