Synopsis:

Balto, a Siberian wolf dog, a mix of husky and wolf, is confused about his origins and is an outcast in Alaska, except for his true friends. One day, suddenly, a diphtheria epidemic spreads among the children of Nome, but a violent snowstorm blocks all transportation routes and obtaining the necessary medicines becomes impossible... unless a group of dogs can sled across a thousand miles through the atrocious Arctic storm and return with the antitoxin. And only Balto can rescue the dogs and save the children.
