The Asian Film Festival Barcelona | AFFBCN 2025, the Asian auteur cinema festival organized by Casa Asia, lands at CASA SEAT to showcase the cultural richness and diversity of Asian and Pacific cinemas.

From November 5 to 8, the CASA SEAT auditorium will screen a selection of 8 auteur films, offering a unique opportunity to discover new stories and innovative ways of telling them.

The film featured in this session is Yasmeen’s Element (Pakistan, 2024) by filmmaker and musician Amman Abbasi. Set against the stunning Hunza Valley, a young elementary school student fights for her right to education using the tools at her disposal. When a group of paramilitaries storms her classroom and abruptly removes the teacher, Yasmeen loses her schoolwork and decides to go after her teacher to retrieve it. On this unexpected journey through neighboring villages, she receives help but also encounters numerous obstacles.
