Lawyer Cristina Vallejo Ros, the new dean of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB), will be the guest at El Periódico's Afterwork event at CASA SEAT.

Specializing in civil and commercial law, she has developed her professional career in the field of civil liability insurance law, medical malpractice, banking law, procedural law, urban leases, and family law. Since 2001, she has combined her work as a lawyer with teaching.

Vallejo, who takes over from Jesús M. Sánchez at the helm of the ICAB, is the third woman in the history of the Bar Association to hold this position. Her candidacy proposes to promote the social function of the legal profession and influence current issues affecting citizens, such as housing, repeat offenses, and property occupations. Other proposals include dignifying the legal aid system and improving the payments made to professionals who provide this service.
