Teresa Garcia-Milà, the new president of the Cercle d’Economia, will be the guest at El Periódico’s Afterwork event at CASA SEAT.
A renowned economist and member of the Cercle since 1995, Garcia-Milà is making history by becoming the first woman to preside over the organization since its founding in 1958. She begins a three-year term (2025-2028) with the aim of reinforcing the Cercle's founding values—democracy, market economy, and Europe—in a global context marked by major political, social, and economic challenges.
At this meeting, she will share her vision of Europe's role in regaining its political and economic strength, as well as her proposals for strengthening knowledge generation, innovation in public policy, and member involvement in the life of the Cercle.
