Barcelona 92: the impulse of a city
From 31 May
to 6 August
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Barcelona Olympic Games. This event is still remembered today as a great collective success that went beyond the merely sporting event and generated a great economic, urban and social change. With this exhibition, CASA SEAT wants to pay tribute to the citizen impulse and the spirit of union and public-private collaboration that made this great city bet a winning option.
On the different floors of CASA SEAT you will be able to recall the history of Barcelona's different Olympic candidatures, the creative explosion it promoted and how the support and collaboration of the citizens was essential for its realisation. You will also be able to see how this event transformed the physiognomy and urban planning of Barcelona and raised awareness of social challenges that are still very relevant today.
In this exhibition, curated by Claudia Crego, you can enjoy of installations created by the artist Ramón los Heros and pieces from the collections of Museu Olímpic i de l'Esport, Associació Voluntaris 2000 and SEAT Coches Históricos.
