Every year, in mid-August, thousands of people visit the streets of Gràcia to discover the creativity and beauty of decorations that have made its Festa Major one of the most anticipated events in the city’s festive calendar. This has been made possible thanks to the dedication and ingenuity of the neighborhood’s residents, who are the stars of an extensive photo report you can preview at the De la pàgina al guarnit de Gràcia exhibition at CASA SEAT.

El Periódico has collaborated in the last two editions with the Fundació Festa Major de Gràcia and with the participating street committees to provide a key raw material: newspaper pages. Thanks to the synergies created and the hard work of the festers, newsprint is transformed into stunning figures, walls, ceilings, and all kinds of ephemeral decorative elements. Around thirty photographs and audiovisual material will reveal the secrets behind this annual marvel.
