The composer and saxophonist Irene Reig is one of the most outstanding representatives of the new Catalan generation of jazz musicians. She leads her trio with passion and spontaneity, performing originals as well as her own versions of classic bop and hardbop tunes. They present her first album in concert, Mira (The Changes, 2021), a work with eight compositions, from her own pieces to reinterpretations of Duke Ellington and Richards Rodgers in a contemporary key and with arrangements full of personality.
