At CASA SEAT we are hosting a new Literary Café, this time featuring writer and literary critic Jorge Carrión, who shall present Todos los museos son novelas de ciencia ficción.
In mid-2019, the author had finished writing his novel Membrana, which envisions a 21st century museum, inaugurated in 2100 and designed by artificial intelligences. However, instead of adapting it, he decided to create an epilogue, a long story that would give a twist to the fiction, through the dialogue between a human being and a voice or being called Mare, which could be an algorithm of the future. And also, dialogue with contemporary art that explores our relationship with biology and technology.
As a result of this paranormal experience comes this novel, which can also be read as the catalogue of the same exhibition or vice versa, because after all, all museums are science fiction novels. An exercise in "self-science fiction" about the intimate relationship that humans have created with algorithms and machines.
