Who hasn't written and received romantic letters? Who has not waited for a letter with vain expectations, thousands of assumptions and a pinch of anxiety? Since you cannot know what is happening on the other side, anything is possible in any correspondence. By the time the answer arrives, the sender goes through each possibility, real or fabled, one by one, while waiting insecure.
Sin cartas no hay amor is a performative reading of letters written by the likes of Virginia Woolf, Violeta Parra, Gustave Flaubert, Roberto Bolaño or Gabriele d'Annunzio. With this piece created and performed by Marc Caellas and Esteban Feune de Colombi (La Soledad company), we want to celebrate literature and love in the days before Sant Jordi.
Perhaps a love that should last should be built only through epistles…
